Arrival at Lisbon airport, private transfer to your hotel. Accommodation from 15h00 on.

Afternoon at leisure.

Breakfast. At 9:00h, leaving to Belém, where you will be able to appreciate the monuments that represent the age of Portuguese Discoveries and taste the famous tart “pastel de Belém”.

We will proceed to Cascais on a scenic route, by the sea. Lunch and free time in Cascais. Visit to Cabo da Roca, continental Europe’s most western point, after which we proceed to Sintra, where you will have time to enjoy the unique atmosphere of this historic village World Heritage by UNESCO.

Return to Lisbon, and free time for the rest of the day.

Breakfast. Day at leisure. Complement your trip with one of the tours we’ve prepared for you to know other regions or add one of the various experiences to enjoy the best of Lisbon.

Breakfast. At 9h00, departure to Óbidos, a quaint village within a medieval wall. Free time to walk around and taste the typical cherry liquor, which may be served in a chocolate cup.

We continue to Nazaré, famous for its giant waves and an enormous beach. Free time for lunch. After lunch, visit to Alcobaça, World Heritage by UNESCO, and its convent church, that houses the tombs of Pedro and Inês, protagonists of Portugal’s most famous love story. Next to it, you will taste some of the local convent pastries, with origins dating back to the Císter monks that settled here in the 12th century.

After arriving in Fátima, accommodation and free time (from April to October you can join in the Candle’s procession).

Breakfast. At 9h00, departure to Coimbra, stopping over in Aljustrel, the village where the three Fátima shepherds were born, where you can visit Sister Lucia’s house.

In Coimbra, visit to Portugal’s oldest university and its famous library, UNESCO World Heritage. Afterward, free time to visit the city centre and have lunch.

Continuation to the magnificently beautiful Douro Valley, with its stepped hills full of vines, almost down to the river’s edge. World Heritage, this is Port Wine region, the first demarcated wine region in the world, since 1756. Accommodation and free time.

Breakfast. Departure at 9h00 to explore the Douro Valley region. All along the river and, through wine country, we will arrive in the Pinhão village, with a very picturesque train station decorated with tile paintings depicting the region and its work traditions. In Pinhão you will also enjoy a marvellous boat ride in Douro valley, in one the traditional “rabelo” boats (from December to February, depending on weather conditions, the boat trip can be replaced by a visit to the Douro Museum).

After this, a visit to a winery, where you will taste some Port wines. Visit to Lamego and to the Senhora dos Remédios sanctuary, overlooking the city from the top of the 686 steps of its baroque stairway. Free time in the city centre to stroll and lunch. Accommodation and free time.

Breakfast. At 9h00, departure to Guimarães, known as Portugal’s cradle, where the Portuguese county was founded, and its first capital. Its wonderful historic centre, with well preserved buildings and granite streets, is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Guimarães you will visit the first Castle of Portugal and the Paço dos Duques Palace, from where you will have access to the city’s historic center in a short walk, free time for lunch and strolling.

Continuation to Porto. Accommodation and free time.

Breakfast. At 09h00 we will start a scenic tour of Porto, to know its most important locations. The tour ends in Serra do Pilar viewpoint, where you will enjoy the best view of Porto, with its beautiful 19th century bridges, the traditional “rabelo” boats, the wine cellars, and the beautiful “Ribeira” riverfront.

Return to the hotel or, if you prefer, stay in the city centre to really get to know Porto and go back to hotel anytime you wish, by your own. Leisure afternoon.

Breakfast and check-out. At 9h00, departure to Aveiro, one of the most interesting cities in the Portuguese coast, run by canals along which the traditional “moliceiro” boats ride, a great way to know Aveiro. The city is also known for its Art Nouveau buildings, visible along the boat ride we have included for you. Free time to lunch and stroll. (Between December and February, depending on weather conditions, the boat ride is replaced by a visit to the Vista Alegre porcelain factory and museum).

Continuation to Lisbon and accommodation.
